2021 w14: things are feeling 'a bit' more real
We're distilling our experiences on Futureland into weekly emails. If you ever want to chat or hang out, just reply to this email. Your input helps a lot on independent projects like this. <3
Here's a few Journals to visit:
'Pith' is a journal by christian and sydney and it's described as, "a place for discussions". They have been making steady progress lately, developing new interface dynamics and taking early steps towards beginning behavioural studies.

'Ambient Landscapes of Taiwan' by gndclouds was updated with a few new entries. The journal is described as "Field notes on infrastructure, urban planning, and architecture details from the streets of Taiwan".

'vagabond life' follows the journey of kristen and gorum as they travel through the US searching for new visions and artistic experiences. In a recent update, they shared that they've been through Las Vegas, Flagstaff AZ, Arcosanti AZ and "a place in the middle of the dessert in AZ somewhere between Wikieup and Lake Havasu".

We've been intrigued by a new user named roughworld who seems to be a talented designer, programmer and teacher. One of his journals is titled, 'Development' and it's described as "A log of what I am working on, related to computers".

andrea is new to Futureland and has been using it for things like storing updates on his blog, taking vitamins, exercising and learning how to juggle. <3
Futureland updates:
The are many design enhancements in process right now and they will be shipped to production soon. Our focus is making Futureland easier to use for new users and more enjoyable overall.

Enhancements include:
- A new persistent 'sidebar' which is used to navigate through Futureland and make it easier to understand through a clearer grouping of all elements.
- An updated design language that adds (themeable) colours, intensifies what matters and protects your context (flow).
- A redesigned 'journal' that moves the 'timeline' to the right of the interface.
- etc.
This entire effort would have been impossible without the collective contribution of a committed community. Early feedback has been very positive and we're excited to move this to production soon.
You can follow the development of these design enhancements on the journal, 'Futureland.design'. There's at least one update every day by lucas and pirijan journals live every Friday at 11AM EST.
