Futureland: January 2023

We’ve been working hard on improving Futureland and want to share some updates with you. This year, we’re committed to keeping you updated through more regular newsletters and videos.

We’ve come a long way with Futureland. It continues to evolve into a tool that helps you keep track of all of your daily routine and personal development in one place. Today our software offers much more than it did in the past.

In this update, we’ll give you a quick run down of the latest improvements to Futureland. If you haven’t checked it out in awhile, you might be surprised by how much it has changed.

Recent Updates

There’s been countless large and small improvements to Futureland, but here are a few significant ones:

Futureland Film

We created a short film for Futureland that explores the process of self learning. We are becoming self learners in order to adapt to a rapidly changing world. As how we learn changes, we will need thoughtful tools and resources to help us learn on our own terms. This film aims to draw attention to the questions around how we learn to help imagine a future where these tools exist.

LifePlan

LifePlan is a new writing exercise that helps you better understand your goals and plan to achieve them. It helps you break down your longer term goals into smaller sub-goals that you can work towards on a daily basis.

LifePlan is integrated directly into Futureland, and available at lifeplan.futureland.tv

Also access LifePlan by clicking on your avatar in the side bar.

We created LifePlan after discovering that new and existing users often struggle to create effective daily routines because they do not have a complete understanding of their current goals, which can continually shift as life circumstances change.

Futureland Sleep

We discovered that many of our users struggle with sticking to daily routines due to inconsistent sleep patterns. To address this, we created Futureland Sleep, a new feature that integrates with Apple Health to help users establish a consistent sleep schedule.

Unlike other sleep trackers, which monitor your sleep through the night, Futureland Sleep records the time your body enters the biological state of sleep and provides a 14 day visual representation of those times. This helps you establish a healthy sleep schedule by encouraging you to consistently fall asleep within your optimal time window, so that your body can optimize its sleep processes and sleep wake cycles leading to more overall energy for your daily routine.

BOOST

BOOST is a new 4 week program we created to help users accelerate the development of their daily routine through the use of our software and daily guidance from our team.

The program begins by working closely with users to co-create a daily routine that aligns with their goals, takes into consideration their physical environment, and incorporates the insights and best practices we’ve gained through our research. As users begin following their new daily routines, our team checks in with them on a daily basis to assess progress, provide support and offer new ideas if needed. At the end of each week, participants receive an individualized report that reflects on their progress and identifies areas of focus for the following week.

If you are interested in participating in a program like this, you can read more details and sign up here: https://tally.so/r/3jeqX1

The cost of the program is $250USD and our second run of the program will begin this week.

Upcoming: Futureland Metrics

Futureland has helped users create habits, build routines and learn new skills, but tracking streaks isn’t always enough. Sometimes to make progress, we need to track specific details, like the hours spent or number of times something was done. That’s why we’re creating a new feature, “Futureland Metrics”, to give users the flexibility to track their own metrics for any habit, project, or experience.

We’ll start designing and building the “Futureland Metrics” feature in February and keep you updated along the way. The biggest challenge will be creating a design that lets users easily log any kind of metric with minimal effort as they move through their day to day lives.

That’s it for January 2023.

Thank you for being part of our community. Your support is what drives us to continually improve our tools. If you haven’t checked out our software in awhile, we invite you to give it another try. There have been endless improvements and we are always open to your feedback.

Thank you for everything so far.
